The shock announcement
On 29th June 2009 Aston Martin released a single image of a full size clay model. It showed a small city car with a distinctive, but large, grill, and a full width front spoiler. In the accompanying release it was disclosed that it was based on the Toyota iQ, and that although it would retain the iQ’s engine and running gear it would feature Aston’s own bespoke interior.

Exhaust Upgrade
The original exhaust system was straight from the Toyota iQ (it even has Toyota stamped on the tip). While cat-back systems are available from commercial sources they are limited to a single tip with flow through muffler. R-Tec Auto Design have previously installed a twin tip exhaust system onto a Cygnet, and a similar system was installed onto KM12ZSZ. However, the original choice of tip looked rather large for the car and a smaller more discreet size with a more muted sound was retro-fitted by ProFab. Return to KM12ZSZ.
